met New York artist Lee Jaffe through Fred Hoffman. Early on in their friendship Basquiat and Jaffe decided to travel together
around the world. Where ever Basquiat found himself, he quickly took up his paint brush. This suite of photographs by Lee
Jaffe document Jean-Michel Basquiat's execution of a painting during his stay in St. Moritz, Switzerland in mid 1983. In contrast
to most other paintings by the artist, here he chose a mattress as his picture support."

were shot in 1983 in St. Moritz, Switzerlan and digitally printed with Ultra Chrome archival inks in 2005... This suite of
